even if i fail i have three serious consolations:
1. my hebrew has improved dramatically.
2. i have really enjoyed the privilege of a taking a bit of time around my other work to delve into God's word and prepare for this exam this last week or so. i've found it refreshing.
3. it doesn't matter so much how i please my marker; what matters is that i please my Lord.
i'll let you know how it was.

Remember the Recabites! Well, maybe that wont help as much today.... Go well Andrew, be confident, the Lord loves you and your church appreciates you whether you pass or fail.
Hope it went well..
Good to see you blogging again mate!
ps- point 3: Please your Maker, not your marker:)
All done. I'm home now. I knew all the stuff I was asked about. I could read all the Hebrew passages easily. It just took me a while to get back into the habit of writing an exam. I wrote and re-wrote the opening line ten times! I'd done my plans etc, but I just forgot how to begin.
I wanted to be like those 'best man' speeches and say something like "unaccustomed as I am to writing essays" or something of the sort.
I also remembered how indecipherable my handwriting is. Ah well.
I think the next two exams (next year) will be a lot easier.
More importantly - I think I honoured my Lord by pushing myself a bit more in the study of his word. Thanks Jodi and Ben for your encouragements.
PS. I remember the Rechabites; but it didn't help me in the exam.
Well done.
I got the result a couple of days ago. I did a little better than expected. I think I'll keep going.
Well that answers my question from a previous post :-)
Hi Tim. Lots of people (and I for one) miss you at church.
